Health and Safety Protocols

Dear Members of Calvin Synod,

Our 80^th Meeting of the Calvin Synod Conference will be held from Tuesday, August 31^st through September 2^nd 2021 at the First Hungarian Reformed Church, 14530 Alexander Road, Walton Hills, Ohio.  The Meeting will open with a Service of Worship and Holy Communion on Tuesday, August 31^st at 10;00 a.m. at the Sanctuary.  Subsequent sessions will be held at the Bethlen Hall of the First Hungarian Reformed Church in Walton Hills.

The Conference Council has adopted protocols for the health and safety of all those in attendance.  We are committed to do what we can to provide a healthy and safe environment. In the church entry, hallways, lobby, sanctuary, and Bethlen Hall, the wearing of face masks are required while maintaining social distancing. Masks should be worn at all times except when speaking at pulpit or podium while maintaining social distancing, when taking communion while social distancing, when eating in Bethlen Hall at spaced out tables, or if you have a medical exemption.  Communion will be taken from individual sealed prefilled communion cups with bread touched only by you. Everyone should wash your hands often with soap and water, use hand sanitizer, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.  Hand sanitizer and masks will be available. The building is cleaned and sanitized regularly.

The Conference Council has taken these steps so those in attendance can be assured that we are doing everything we can to create a healthy and safe environment.  While taking care of the business necessary, we strive to make this a joyful and spiritual experience for all.  Travel safely.
