Bishop Installation Service and Celebration Dinner
On Saturday, October 29, 2016 the Bishop Installation Service and Celebration Dinner were held at the First Hungarian Reformed Church in Walton Hills, Ohio. Twenty pastors and priests from several denominations attended this special worship service. The English sermon was delivered by Rt. Rev. Koloman K. Ludwig Bishop Emeritus and then Rt. Rev. Louis Medgyesi Bishop Emeritus gave the sermon in Hungarian. Those in attendance heard inspiring words in both sermons. The participating clergy and lay leaders in the Installation Worship Service were: Rt. Rev. Stefan M. Török, Auxiliary Bishop, Rev. Gábor G. Nitsch, General Secretary, Rev. Viktor Tóth, Treasurer, Mr. James D. Ballas, Synod Presbyter, Rev. Frank A. Endrei, Pastor Emeritus, and Rev. Péter L. Tóth, Dean of Lakeside Classis. At the end of the service the participating pastors and priests blessed Bishop Krasznai by laying their hands on him.
Following the service, a Celebration Dinner was held in our church’s Bethlen Hall for our guests. Distinguished leaders and representatives of the American Hungarian organizations were also greeted at the service and acknowledged during the dinner. Our honored guests in this special event were: Dr. Adam Markusfalvi-Toth, Chief Consul, Consulate General of Hungary in Chicago and Mr. László Böjtös, Honorary Consul General of Cleveland.
We would like to also express our sincere heartfelt appreciation to our special guests, the pastors and priests, church members, and the distinguished leaders and representatives of our American Hungarian organizations who made this celebration a beautiful event in our church’s and Synod’s life.
